Class 3A Digital Signature – Individual
Class 3A Digital Signature certificates issued to Individuals for various purposes and encompass primarily high end security-sensitive online activity. Organizations name is not included in these certificates.
Class 3A digital signatures for individuals is personal certificate that provides highest level of assurance within the RCAI hierarchy setup by CCA (Controller of Certifying Authorities) in India which is mainly used for Bank Auction, e-auctioning, e-bidding, Trademarks Filing, Patents Filing and it can be used for Registrar of Companies e-filing, Income Tax e-filing, TDS Return e-filing, VAT Return e-filing, sign a word or excel or pdf file, sign e-mail sent through Outlook and many more.
For the above mentioned purpose, the following persons have to obtain Class 3A Digital Signatures:
1. Individuals
2. Trade Mark Attorney
3. Patent Attorney
4. Bank Officials.
5. Govt Employees
6. Other Authorized Signatories.
How to get Class 3A Digital Signature Certificate – Individual
1. Get the photo affixed Application form, PAN card and Address proof attested by applicant.
2. PAN card or Address proof or Id proof should be attested by CA / CS / Gazatted officer.
Please note Advocate /Notary attestation is not accepted by CCA
Documents required:
(All Documents mentioned below should be Self attested by the Applicant)
1. Application Form (Duly Signed)
2. Recent Passport Size Photo Graph (Pasted on the Application Form and signed across the photo)
3. Identity Proof: (Any one of the Following)
   - PAN Card (Compulsory if required for Income Tax Fling)
   - Passport
   - Driving License
   - Photo ID Issued by Central/State Government
4. Address Proof: (Any one of the Following)
   - Passport
   - Driving License
   - Latest Utility Bills (Telephone/Electricity/LIC/Water) Not older than 2 months
   - Voter ID
   - Bank Account Statement ( Not Older than 2 Months)
   - Service Tax/ VAT registration Certificate
   - Gas Connection documents
   - Property tax/ Municipal tax Receipt
